One of today’s most widely accepted air pollution control technologies across the industry is a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer, commonly referred to as an RTO. They are very versatile and extremely efficient – thermal efficiency can reach 95-98%. They are regularly used for abating solvent fumes, odours, etc. for a wide range of industries. Electron provides Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTO’s) with high thermal efficiency and effective VOC control for a wide range of processes.

Regenerative thermal oxidizers use extreme heat, at a temperature of approximately 1500°F, to clean exhaust streams containing hazardous contaminants and compounds. The regenerative thermal oxidation technology has been developed for high volume and low VOC applications and is based on the use of ceramic media as heat exchangers and switching values. Regenerative thermal oxidation is ideal in the range from low to high VOC concentrations up to 10g/m3 solvent.

REOX units

The Electron design REOX™ unit is a unique, single-bed, flameless regenerative thermal oxidizer. The system is available in flow capacities from 100 - 50.000 Nm3/h in a single-mode or multi-mode setup. The REOX unit has a modular design and guarantees a high VOC destruction efficiency (97,5-99,5%) at low running costs due to its high thermal efficiency (95-98%).
