Tubothal Radiant Tube Heaters

Image

Indirect heating of high temperature processes in the steel and process industry.

Cartridge type metal heating elements designed for long time usage and trouble-free service. The Tubothal elements supplied by Electron are available in standard diameters from 68 to 170 mm (2.6 to 6.6 in) and can be supplied in almost any length. Tubothal elements can be used in all types of radiant tubes or as standalone elements.

Features

Superior power output

Long lifespan

Available in many sizes

The Tubothal heating elements supplied by Electron can operate at a much higher power than conventional cartridge elements. With an output of up to 45 kW/m (12.2 LW/ft), a single Tubothal heating element can replace up to three heating elements of standard design, leading to major savings in replacement and maintenance costs.

Tubothal heating elements in combination with Kanthal® APMT/Kanthal® APM radiant tubes provide a higher output than any other metal heating system on the market. This combination also results in virtually maintenance-free production.

User benefits include superior resistance to carbonization, thermal shock, and deformation. This is due to the excellent mechanical properties of the materials and their ability to form a dense and adherent oxide film that protects against corrosion and atmospheric attack.

The service life of radiant tubes in Kanthal® APMT and Kanthal® APM is often many times longer than tubes based on NiCr alloys
